DHOKRA CRAFT brings you this decorative Tuma made of drying the bottle gourd. Tuma or decorative gourd craft is a unique handicraft from Bastar India. This decorative multipurpose bowl is made by cutting a dried gourd from the top then further gourd is etched (with hot knives) into beautiful patterns. It was traditionally used to carry water and tribal alcohol known as salfi. Later the tribal people started decorating their tuma with paints or carving them with intricate designs using needles. Crafted by the tribal artisans of Chhattisgarh (Tuma art of Chhattisgarh ). Note Imperfections are the elements of handmade products which in turn proves their authenticity.
