After researching a lot post dumping of non stick cookware, finally decided to pick cast iron tawa to make dosas, chillas, etc. Amazon recommended rock and I ordered it. I feel I made the right choice. This is super awesome product. Picked it up less than 2 mths back and used it 5-6 times. No issues at all. Heat distribution is a concern as it's cast iron product n it's not a good conductor of heat. But a great product n value for money too as I got it in discount too during sale.

The skillet was preseasoned but not seasoned enough. I had to heat, apply compound and cool it almost 5 times but after that the dosas came off easily with edges curling off the tawa surface. Excellent product and I recommend seasoning with a compound of grapeseed oil and food grade beeswax (4:1 solidify in fridge and applyingon the hot tawa clean with cotton cloth, cool down, heat again, apply the compound clean and repeat 5 times) once dosa is done, sprayed water and wipe it applied oil cleaned off excess oil and kept in a dry place. Apply oil on all surfaces while storing. This method was recommended to me by an ex US marine and it really worked.
