It is a good product, go for it. I will rate the product 4 stars, but packaging and Amazon delivery as 5 stars. Product was delivered earlier than expected delivery date.Pros:- Pigeon brand, comes with a sticker and hologram on the boiler unlike locally made products which cannot be traced as to who made them.- Good product. It is made of steel not Aluminum (Most locally made Milk Boilers are made of Aluminum). Consequently it is a bit more expensive.- I am using the boiler on a LPG gas stove and no blackening of the bottom is observed.Cons:- The Handle needs to be tightened periodically (not a major issue though)- Its capacity is only 1.8 liters, not 2 liters as specified. Since the milk level should be a tad below the whistle level, you can boil max 1.25 liters milk at one time.PS: I have been using this product from last 2 days only. So cannot comment on whistle or any other issues. Whistle worked fine last 2 days.Update on 29th Oct 2017:I have been using this product for last 2.5 months and it is extremely good. No blackening of the surface is observed. Whistle has never given any issue. Handle needs to be tightened once every 2-4 weeks depending on your usage. Overall a very good product.Update on 4th Dec 2020:I have been using this product for over 3 years now and it is still working fine. The main issue with this milk boiler is the handle which needs to be tightened with a screwdriver once every 1-3 weeks depending on your usage. Otherwise the product is good.

I like the product except the fact that it cannot boil effectively 2 litres of milk. The capacity of the vessel is 2 litres. We can safely boil 1.5 litres of milk I guess which is more than enough for our family.

The reason I am giving a lower rating is that.. While it says 1liter, it holds less than 1liter milk at one go... Since I can't fill it up to the brim... so have to do two installments to boil the milk... Also I don't see any way of finding out how much water to put in the outside jacket... So if I overfill it just drips iut when boiling... Rest all is very functional and good quality steel.

complete wastage of money. Too complicated to use for boiling milk. in very 1st uses the whistle attachment got broken , leave the water port open permanently.Even then after filling water, regularly water vapor / water droplets falling on the induction top (may leads to failure of your induction top).handle mounting screw is too small in length to screw the handle.without water filling the external vessel will may get over heat and may become bluish in color.No physiological satisfaction, weather milk got boiled or not. As earlier whole life have experience of boiling of milk with physical movement as spilling phenomena.Overall complete wastage of money and your efforts in boiling the milk.

The capacity of the boiler is written 2 liters but it is actually a bit smaller. When i put complete 2 liters of milk in it, it fills up completely till its top edge after which i can't cover the utensil with its lid. The size of the boiler should be larger so that it should accomodate milk to it's mentioned capacity without any problem.Rest the product is good, works completely fine and boils milk without any spill. If capacity is not your concern then go for it without a second thought.

Well designed product, poorly thought out instructions. The cooker boils your milk with an incessant whistle and much stream. For tolerating the noise and humidity, you are rewarded with boiled milk that hasn't run over. We bought 2 units of the 2 liter cooker and have been mostly pleased. Points to be noted: 1. The manufacturer asks to add water till the brim of the cooker. Do that and you and your belongings will be soaked in boiling water spraying out of the whistle. To avoid this, just add about 1 to 1½ cups of water and you'll be okay. Not sure whether to be amused at the obvious mistake or to sue the manufacturer. 2. You can't use it to capacity since you are instructed not to fill it beyond the level of the whistle, so you can realistically only cook about 1½ to 1¾ liters of milk when it is advertised as 2 liter. Overall, quite satisfied with the product. Would probably try another manufacturer if buying again.
