Good for vegetarians because there are not many vegetarian sources for iodine. Also good if you are consuming high phytoestrogen foods like soy which iodine helps in balancing.

This is the seaweed which has highest iodine. People who doesn't eat any fish should eat this. From 1g kombu you can get maximum iodine for a day. Super heathy food. It looks mouldy but this is what it should be. If there is not white powder on Kombu means umami deep taste is washed away. Even before use no need to wash the kombu. Just cut and put in the soup directly or make powder and mix in the food. Super tasty.

Great taste and highest iodine you can get
- Disadvantages
Very excessively salty. You would eat seaweed for the health benefits but the amount of salt in this negates any health benefits it might have.
