I have been buying Lifebuoy handwash for years. The most important aspect of this handwash was that it never left a soapy residue. Other brands like Dettol leave a soapy residue that is hard to wash off. But it appears ever since June of 2021, Lifebuoy has changed its handwash formula. It now leaves a soapy residue that is hard to washoff. Won't be buying this ever again unless they switch back to the old formula. Update 1: I wrote to Unilever and they responded saying that the new formula is as "per latest standards of safety, efficacy and comply with cosmetic regulatory standards in the country." It doesn't look like they are going to change. Hopefully, they will when sales of the product get hit. Update 2: In the last week I was in desperate search of a substitute. I tried Palmolive Naturals Black Orchid & Milk, Fiama Relax Moisturizing handwash and Fem handwash. All have the same soapy residue problem. And today I discovered Savlon Deep Clean in the Orange/Yellow pouch which is likely touted as a rival for the Red Lifebuoy handwash. And my search stops here. Savlon Deep Clean foams and leaves no soapy sticky residue. A perfect replacement. Goodbye Lifebuoy. It was a long journey while it lasted. Won't be missing you.
