You wet the area by using foam, lather or gel to reduce friction, but the act of shaving means that the skin can be left sore.The best thing is that once finished to use a moisturiser to replenish the lost water and to make the skin stay supple and reduce the redness and stop the soreness forming. I have been using a variety of different products that people have got me for birthdays and christmas etc. They must think that I am a scruffy get that needs constant shaving to stop me becoming a werewolf/yeti.I normally use the Nivea products, but then someone got me Clinique for men. This was a little greasy to apply and after a few days use my neck started turning bright red - I was becoming a turkey. I had to get a replacement moisturiser quickly and this was recommended. Luckily it came quickly. Easy to apply and non greasy, the redness disappeared in several days. My skin feels more supple and fresher when applied.For the extra price, this is worth it. A fantastic product that will help soothe skin and replenish moisture lost whilst shaving.

I have tried a lot of moisturisers recently having been freed from the shackles of machismo by modern-day metrosexualism.This is the best I have tried so far. It's formula is designed to stop gravity affecting my chin as much as possible. I am hoping to maintain just one chin for as long as possible.It is non-greasy, absorbs well & leaves my skin smoother than a very smooth thing. No mean task indeed.I can highly recommend this product. Forget the 'with new & improved scientificy stuff' adverts that make you want to run for the hills & just give it a go.

What I particularly like about the L'Oreal hydra moisturiser for men is the blue, gel-like consistency. It's cooling, refreshing and absorbs really quickly into the skin, drying matt and leaving no shine or greasiness. It seems to have a slight tightening effect too, adding a bit of support for tired skin.The only thing it's missing - and this seems like a given for more than super-cheap creams these days - is a decent UV filter, given that UV damage is still considered the biggest skin ager.Apart from that oversight, it's an affordable and effective men's moisturiser from L'Oreal - thumbs up.

I'm so grateful for this product. I was having a very troubling issue. I was getting red and flaky around my nose and upper lip area. The dermatologists were prescribing strong Cortison creams for me but it would take time for the redness to go away once I had a flare. It go away and then just come back after a while. That stuff is bad for your skin and over time makes the skin thinner and actually more vulnerable, making the issue go worse over time. So you donät want to use that stuff much. I was in such despair, and this product was given to me as a gift by my girlfriend. I tried it, and to my astonishment, it helped my condition faster than those pharmacy grade creams. Besides, it was very light and you don't feel it after a few minutes. It just makes your skin feel soft and hydrated. After researching this a while I found the reason it is helping me is actually the vitamin C content. I still use it after many many years and I don't have that issue anymore.

I don't usually use men's moisturizers but I thought I would give this a go. I must say I am really happy that I tried this as it really softens up your skin especially after shaving. A lot of men usually don't know how much moisturizer to use but the benefit of the pump action is that it essentially measures it out for you. One press of the pump is sufficient to do your entire face and neck. There is a cool feeling on your face after applying the moisturizer which is nice.
