It is old fashioned oats..I bought this too make Granola. I made some porridge first..it was excellent..I soaked it for 10 minutes and cooked it because it is thicker. 1/2 cup this= 1cup Quaker once cooked volume is more.

This is the real thing. Stop eating quick oats they're just marketed crap. Quick oats are highly processed and have minimal nutrition as compared to rolled or steel cut oats. Steel cut oats are least processed as the name suggests they're just cut into small pieces and nothing else but steel cut oats take a lot of time to cook so if you don't have a lot of time to cook buy these rolled oats otherwise go for steel cut oats.
