A strikingly attractive traditional multihued Madhubani painting extensively detailing the 'varmala' ceremony -the auspicious first rite during the wedding symbolising the first step towards the union of two souls. The strokes of the painting quill are very fine but distinct. These paintings are inspired by folklore. Only hand made paper cured with cow dung is utilized and is a signature livelihood of the painters of Madhubani, Bihar, India.
